Sloppy Joe is a classic comfort food dish featuring savory ground beef simmered with onions, bell peppers, and celery in a tangy tomato-based sauce, served on toasted hamburger buns for a satisfying meal.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
- 1/4 cup finely diced green bell pepper
- 1/4 cup finely diced celery
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon Baklouti Fused Olive Oil
- 1 (6 oz) can tomato paste
- 2 tablespoons water
- 2 tablespoons A-Premium Balsamic Vinegar
- 1 tablespoon Neapolitan Herb Balsamic Vinegar
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 6 hamburger buns, split and toasted
Instructions:
- In a large skillet, heat Baklouti Fused Olive Oil over medium-high heat. Add ground beef, onion, celery, and bell pepper. Cook until meat is browned and vegetables are tender, breaking up the meat with a spoon. Drain off any excess fat.
- Stir in tomato paste, water, garlic, A-Premium Balsamic Vinegar, and Neapolitan Herb Balsamic Vinegar into the beef mixture in the skillet. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Serve the Sloppy Joe mixture on toasted hamburger buns.
